The Lafayette Christian Church is a community where children are loved. Our Christian Education programs nurture children from birth through high school and beyond. Our littlest ones, from birth to 3 years, are invited into the Nursery where they are cared for on Sunday mornings during Sunday School and Worship.

Sunday mornings begin with the FAITH ALIVE Children’s Choir, which provides an opportunity for children in Kindergarten thru 8th grade to “make a joyful noise” in weekly rehearsals and by singing in Worship. Children learn to express their love for God through music, singing, playing bells and performing in special musicals. Participation in Faith Alive nurtures our children’s spiritual growth and self-confidence while teaching important musical skills in a fun and supportive environment.

The BIBLE ALIVE Sunday School Class is for children ages Kindergarten thru 4th grade. We offer a curriculum where children are encouraged to express themselves spiritually and artistically while listening to Bible stories, sharing experiences and having fun.

The CHI RHO Sunday School Class is for children in 5th thru 8th grades. This class offers a curriculum that supports these youth as they transition and grow through their faith journeys.

The HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH meet on Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings. The morning class provides a safe, secure environment where the youth can explore their faith, share ideas and celebrate their individuality while honoring their diversity.
The Sunday evening Youth Group provides the opportunity to translate faith into action as the youth pray, play, climb and build together, while exploring current world issues and social justice.

On the First Friday evening of each month, children ages Kindergarten thru 4th grade also meet together at the church for a time of community and fun.
The Lafayette Christian Church’s Christian Education Committee is strongly committed to the spiritual growth of children and youth through educational programs that encourage faith and honor community.
