A Word from Faye - August 21, 2026

Dear "Godmothers,"

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and the gratitude of our Beloved Community to all of you who stepped up over the past three months to provide critical hospital transportation and friendship for Jacque. Your kindness and dedication have been truly wonderful. And, I add that you are so delightful to work with!

 

As we look ahead, we are necessarily encouraging Jacque to begin utilizing the transportation resources available through Contra Costa County for her rides to appointments and other venues. I have targeted September 1 for this transition. There will be room to sign up for one more day, Monday, August 31. 

 

She can schedule her rides through an app "Road to Recovery", "Grandparent go"  and Uber for seniors. We want to ensure she knows she is not being abandoned; however, looking at our schedules for this fall, several of us will be taking trips, hosting friends and visiting grandchildren while also helping our church community move into launching fall programming, In addition to being ready to provide deep care and presence for other members, continuing to work with our outreach partners, and the desire to travel while caring for ourselves and our partners.

 

Jacque's CT Scan this week shows healing from her brain bleed. Her positive approach to healing and self care will be with her for her entire healing journey. Soon she, Justin and Rubi will be researching what is offered by her long term care insurance. Now is the best time to learn about and set in motion a transportation plan that she will have with her in any next step.

 

All along the way and continuing now we carry Jacque, (her experiences, care, and needs) with CONFIDENTIALITY as we continue to pray for her and her family.
